About Me

Hello! I'm Mark. My pronouns are he/him/his. I am an Expressive Therapist, artist, musician, meditator, yoga enthusiast, home cook, probiotic fermenter, and lover of a good old walk in the woods.
As an LMHC with over 15 years of experience in the field, I enjoy working with adults from many different walks of life, from coping with life stressors and anxiety and depression to addictiveness, eating disorders. My goal is to help you improve the relationship with your experience, feel more empowered, and reduce distress and hopelessness. Please feel free to read more about me below, and peruse this site to find out more about the therapeutic services I offer.
CREDENTIALS

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor of the Massachusetts Board of Allied Mental Health (License #8165). I abide by their Ethical Codes and Standards of Conduct (262 CMR 8.00) and those of the American Counseling Association (ACA). The ACA Code of Ethics may be found here: http://www.counseling.org/Resources/aca-code-of-ethics.pdf.

PRACTICE SPACE

My practice space is open and welcoming to people from all walks of life. It is also an LGBTQ+ and non-binary friendly zone, as well as voice-hearer and visionary friendly (those who hear voices and see visions), as well as open to those who understand their experiences as belonging to a spiritual crisis, emergence, or awakening.

FEES

I accept both private pay and insurance plans. Sliding scale may be available based on financial need. My fees are as follows:
-
Individual sessions are $150
-
Couples/family sessions are $200
-
Additional fees may apply for services involving coordination with other providers/phone calls/emails.

Please take note: Insurance companies require a therapist to diagnose you. Some people do not want to have a psychiatric diagnosis attached to their medical files. If this is you, I am open to discussing alternatives to insurance such as FSAs (Flexible Spending Accounts) and trying to find a solution that works for both you and me.
See the PHILOSOPHY page for more information on why I attempt to work outside of insurance and diagnosis. If you have further questions, please feel free to contact me.
